Se pone en marcha el Master 1000 de Roma, el cual será el gran aperitivo previo a Roland Garros, y habrá cuatro Argentinos compitiendo.
Por la primera ronda, Juán Mónaco enfrentará al frances Benoit Paire. Este será el primer choque entre ambos. Vale destacar que el europeo viene cumpliendo buenas actuaciones en este 2013, ubicandose en el puesto 36 del ranking.
Por su parte, Horacio Zeballos tendrá un duro rival al medirse con el español Fernando Verdasco. Para ambos dos también será el match que habra el head to head.
También estara participando el chascomusense Carlos Berlocq, quien se medirá con el suizo Stanislas Wawrinka. El europeo lidera el historial por 2 a 0, teniendo como último antecedente el triunfo obtenido en el Master 1000 de Paris 2012, cuando se impuso 6-3, 6-2.
Por último, Juan Martín Del Potro comenzará directamente desde la segunda ronda, batallando con el ganador del duelo entre Xavier Malisse y Andrey Kuznetsov.
